Our Business

Preferred Septic and Disposal is owned by Dale Comontofski who has been a resident of the Owens Valley for more than 25 years. Dale began his professional plumbing career in 1979 and since then has been the owner of Precision Plumbing and Roto Rooter here in the Owens Valley.
 Deciding he enjoyed the portable toilet business he began Preferred Septic in 1997, and in 2003 he received permission from Inyo County to operate a new solid waste disposal business from Round Valley to the Owens Valley Dry Lake. Since then Preferred Septic and Disposal has grown to have over 1,600 customers. In 2005 Dale was presented the "Best Friend of the Firefighter" Award from the Bishop Fire Department.
